The ability of otherwise rational people to continue to bury their heads in the sand when it comes to the glaring problems with the U.S. government’s official story of the attacks of 9/11 . . . appears to be nearing a rapidly escalating end. Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels stated at the Nuremburg War Crimes Trials, “Propaganda is not meant to fool the intelligencia, it is merely meant to provide them an excuse to avoid seeing ugly realities, they’d sooner not believe.” Dear World Legislators, Parliamentarians, and World Citizens,
On April 10, 2008, the New York Sun Newspaper reported on a new U.N. Human Rights Council official assigned to monitor Israel, who is calling for an official commission to study the role neoconservatives may have played in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The Sun reported that the UN official calling for the 9/11-neocon link study, who was unanimously appointed to his UN position on March 26, is Richard Falk, Milbank professor of international law emeritus at Princeton University.
This explosive development builds on a growing tsunami of such demands. Years ago former German national minister and parliamentarian Andreas Von Bulow, was joined by UK former national minister and parliamentarian, in stating that the evidence indicates that 9/11 was orchestrated by elements within the U.S. government.
Around that time I had the opportunity to interview Paul Hellyer, who served as a Canadian Minister of National Defence. In that role Hellyer was very familiar with normal NORAD Air Defence procedures, and expressed to me his deep concern that the US Air Force was mysteriously absent on the morning of 9/11, and that he felt an urgent need for a new investigation.
Since then hundreds of military, intelligence, engineering, architectural, and government experts have come out publicly doubting the official story, and many saying outright that the evidence indicates that elements of the U.S. government had to have executed the attacks of September 11, 2001. The tsunami of international suspicion preceding this week’s explosive demand by the U.N. official, appeared to have crested and begun its crushing descent in the last few weeks, which began when Japanese Senator Fujita grilled the Japanese Prime Minister on national television for nearly 30 minutes. In that time Fujita laid out and presented graphics indicating that the American government had not only lied to Japan about 9/11, but that pointed to likely US government involvement in the attacks. Fujita stated that many ministers of the Japanese Parliament thanked him for his courage and expressed their own suspicions of the US Government’s official 9/11 story.
This was followed by Italian European Parliamentarian, Guilietto Chiesa, who invited his colleagues at the European Parliament, and the press, to attend the screening and debate of the Italian-produced documentary named ‘ZERO, an investigation into the events of 9/11’. Chiesa too has indicated that other parliamentarians share his concerns about the official story about 9/11, who are yet to go public with such concerns.
This jives with my experience when years ago, as the Director of National 911 Visibility, I began corresponding with Paul Lannoye, a European Parliamentarian who represented Belgium. The result of our communications was revealed in the following letter, Parliamentarian Lannoye later released on 24 May, 2004
We have watched with alarm that the sad and tragic events of 9-11 (11 September, 2001) have resulted in two wars and a global rollback in civil liberties. Iraq had nothing to do with the 9-11 attacks, yet it has been attacked in the name of them. People in countries worldwide have suffered reduced civil liberties in the name of 9-11, and intelligence surveillance of ordinary citizens has expanded dramatically.
I submit to you that before any more wars are launched or liberties are lost in the name of the "war on terror" launched by the Bush Administration after 9-11, a full international inquiry into the events leading up to and on 9-11 be held, which includes 9-11 victims' family members from the U.S. and other nations.
The National Green Party of the United States has requested an open independent 9-11 investigation that would involve 9-11 victims' family members. This is a good start, but it must also be an international inquiry in addition that includes 9-11 family members from nations worldwide who lost loved ones in the 9-11 attacks.
We need this to occur because many, including the 9-11 Family Steering Committee (U.S.), are growing increasingly frustrated with the stunning lack of hard questions for witnesses appearing before the 9-11 Commission. Until these hard questions are asked and fully answered, we should refuse more wars, and renounce reduced liberty worldwide in the name of 9-11 and it's resultant war on terror . . .
. . . I implore legislators, parliamentarians, and citizens worldwide to become involved in the global 9-11 Truth Movement by signing up at www.911Visibility.org and www.911Truth.org. These organizations have worked with 9-11 family members, and citizens worldwide to lobby government, media, and the 9-11 Commission to demand truth, and to hold public actions to educate the world about the apparent 9-11 cover up.

"..the bigger the lie", the easier it is for the masses to believe it. The Nazis high command got the good Germans to believe anything, especially when it's repeated over and over, something like "catapulting the propoganda". Then the cold, hard reality starts setting in. Those 3 buildings came straight down in less than 10 seconds each at free fall. Many thanks Bill and all who have worked hard these last 6+ years to expose those who are responsible for the attacks on 9/11. I have read The Shell Game as well as many opposing views online to the 'official' government report of 9/11 and am pleased to know international communities question the Bush Administration's 'proof' that the attacks were the result of terrorists. Bill, you efforts border on superhuman, truthers are behind you 100%. I am a retired chemist, who has burned a lot of steel, insulated with my flame retardant formulations, in a 2000*F flame in a fire brick furnace. After 2 hours the samples would come out looking like a pieces of burnt toast, but the steel I beams never melted or were distorted. I am almost 80 years old and hope to live long enough to experience an independent, international committee to investigate the events of 9/11. Not just the Neocon War, Neocon Global Financial Crisis
The world wasn't too concerned about Bush and Cheney's little Neocon screw-up in Iraq. If you're waiting for M$M to report truth of 9/11 ...
you'll be waiting a long time. M$M is between a rock and a hard place. If they started to report truth about 9/11 that would mean one or both of two things, one: they were so completely derelict in their duty as to be worse than useless, or two: they're complicit. One thing is for certain, if truth should ever be known on a scale it needs to be to bring about real change not only will we have to totally clean out our government but the 5th Estate would also have to be replaced by a media independent of influence either from government or finance. It's these realizations that stop people in their tracks and they quickly pull a cover of denial over their sheltered lives. It's not just a few in our government, it's private concerns literally hundreds, if not more have to had been part of 9/11, after and before the event, and I feel that many were shocked into complying, realizing that if powers-that-be can pull a crime of this magnitude off that what chance of survival do they have of exposing the truth? After all, Mr. Douglas did say we had 90 days from the book's initial release (January 22, 2008) to push "The Shell Game" to the Top 10 of the New York Times Bestsellers List... for fiction. The Week of Truth - a web site of essentially unknown origin - appears to be a marketing do or die for Ascot Media Group. Firstly, I am sorry (truly) to read that Mr. Alten has Parkinson's Disease. I have had several family members who have had it, and the disease is maddeningly frustrating as it progresses. There has been some promise, though, in recent years. Obviously this is a campaign to sell books. How the hell do you think Ann Coulter got to the top of the charts and on every talk show, many of which have global audiences? I am not on record that I approve of this 'wholesaling' of political issues and theories, but in my lifetime I watched Daniel Ellsberg change the world. His work still does. Every day new FOIA requests verify so much of what this American hero revealed at great professional costs. Many claimed Ellsberg did it for the fame. Not so. I'm Architect, ret. AIA, NCARB. When news told me fires destroyed the WTC, I believed them. In Feb. 2005, I got short e-mail - Question 9-11, and it led to short video. I got info that seemed unbelievable. I checked. National news echoed the "Official Story" Surely this info was bogus. Then I began my search, every "Official Fact" I could find dissolved on inspection, 100s of witnesses, facts, evidence pile up against "Official Story" Any thinking high school kid should see it is a Great Illusion. I am a good thinker, with great computer / internet skills. I've gathered 10s of 1,000s of files, articles, books about the new reality, the TRUTH, which touches on everything; medicine, pharmaceuticals, UFOs, crop circles, Constitution, taxes, law. I certainly do not have the background on all the subject I touch, but those who should know; lawyers, bankers, professional are sealed from considering that their assumptions are not true. But now I am raised up because I have found 1,000s and millions who have also found the greater truth. 9-11 IS SUCH A SIMPLE CASE TO SOLVE. You have heard and held 100s of lies. Wake Up, most all you have ever been told is a lies, and promulgated by the national news. The same understanding about secrecy can be achieved by reading any David Baldaci novel. What differentiates him from Mr. Alten is that Mr. Baldaci KNOWS he's writing fictional thrillers. Mr. Alten has "pretended" to write a fictional thriller that is (in actually) a Truther propoganda piece, which he seems to readily admit...? While there's nothing wrong with this, I wonder why "The Shell Game" was packaged as a fictional thriller instead of just writing a non-fictional thriller about 9/11. After all, if Mr. Alten has already risked so much, and lost a fair amount thusfar, in support of the truth, why not just boldly proclaim the truth about 9/11 in a tell-all book? I think it's this... uncertainty about the novel itself (fictional thriller or non-fictional propoganda?), its publisher (why an LDS publisher?), its marketing (why anonymous web sites and confusing relationships between Alten and Ascot?), etc... that makes me question the sincerety of "The Shell Game's" intent at spreading "truth". Don't forget the only legal cases
As CB Brooklyn pointed out above, legal cases are in progress in the SNDY court. Will coverage of these be prominent in this so-called week of truth? Is it better to promote awareness of the legal cases, identifying the role of military contractors in the 9/11 cover up? Or is it better to promote a fictional book? OK so "the government is bad and did 9/11" - many people recognise corruption in the system and that of politicians. You want a new investigation? Well, about one that's already in progress - but ignored by the almost all posters here and around the internet. It's truly a wonder to behold. I gobbled it up in 3 days!
Sorry..I guess I jumped the gun, having ordered it before I knew about this Truth Week effort (I try to make every week truth week...just ask those who get all my e-mails!) It was indeed hard to put this book down, even though certain slants were immediately evident, (and annoying!) like the pro-Israel rhetoric (the author basically gives them a free pass) , and statements about Iran that seem to fuel justifications for an attack, that I question the accuracy of. Of course, the author mixes fact and fiction, real characters with fictional ones. At the very least it will call alot more attention to the need for re-investigating 9/11.
