In the last 48 hours, N.Y. Times best selling novelist, Steve Alten, author of, "The Shell Game," was recently shocked and dumbfounded that he’d become the victim of harassment, when someone not only put a map of his home and his personal private phone number and home address up on the internet, . . . but also either remotely accessed or intercepted personal private email between he and his publicist . . .
. . . and all because of the impending release of his new novel, "The Shell Game."http://theshellgame.net/(See 9/11 truth links in the “911 Links” section of his site, to learn why this impending block buster novel may be causing such actions).
Having been a patriotic citizen working to expose the deceptions leading us to war, I’d personally become fascinated with Alten’s new novel, “The Shell Game.”I’d contacted him through his website after a high school English teacher told me about “The Shell Game,” because it dealt with oil, war, and deceptions leading us to war.
So, when I learned this novelist had become increasingly a victim of bizarre harassment, I suspected “why” this may have happened, and then decided it might be instructive to explain it to others. So I wrote this oped this morning. For this, in my opinion, represents yet another event in the chronology of a movement for truth that has been attacked and maligned for years now.
For the novelist who wrote, “The Shell Game,” it’s just a bizarre experience, for he’s just trying to write a good novel, and from his perspective, well if it happens to spur discussion of important issues, well that’s about as American as apple pie.
I think most people will think, if this novel has caused him to be targeted for such harassment, even before its release . . . well, it must have something “very interesting” to say.And in my opinion it does.http://theshellgame.net/
However, the bizarre harassment of this best selling author, from my perspective, is part of a long time pattern of harassment that those of us who’ve been working along side the 9/11 families who have demanded a new independent 9/11 investigation, have experienced over and over again.Even the Jersey Girls, the 9/11 widows who fought Washington to get the 9/11 Commission, were victims of it when Anne Coulter said they enjoyed their husband's deaths.
This best selling novelist may have set off to only write a good novel, but it has cast him into a world of intrigue and duplicity that many good people have lived in for years now.
So who does this story involve? The title of this OpEd, “What Do a Renowned 9/11 Physicist and a N.Y. Times Best Selling Novelist Have in Common?” actually would be more appropriately titled, what do a former Los Angeles Police Department detective, a N.Y. Times best selling novelist, a mild mannered respected physicist, an equally mild mannered and equally respected architectural design engineer, and concerned citizens demanding a new 9/11 investigation, all have in common?
This is the story of the 9/11 truth movement, and perhaps the story of how all great movements for truth and justice are deliberately sabotaged by those powers who have an interest in keeping truth from the mass public.
Let’s begin with the LAPD detective’s story, who’d become a research writer after leaving LAPD.Not long after 9/11/2001, researcher Michael C. Ruppert, a former LAPD detective, smelled something not quite right about the events of 9/11.
His nose eventually led him to call on sources he’d developed over the years as a researcher and author, with military and intelligence insiders, and discovered that mysteriously there had been many multiple war games . . . war games which do not happen that often . . . but coincidentally all were ordered by "someone" to be held on 9/11/2001.Yes, the same day as the infamous 9/11 attacks.
I personally became aware of Ruppert’s work when he did what the US media failed to do, he followed up on mainstream media’s initial insight that there had been mysterious “insider stock trades” in the days leading up to 9/11 that signaled that someone with “insider knowledge” of the coming attacks had profited obscenely by betting “against” United and American Airlines “before” 9/11, by placing put options (bets that a stock will fall) on those ill fated airlines in trades that vastly eclipsed activity on other airlines in those days.Ruppert’s research found that $5 million in “winnings” were made at a known CIA-connected financial institution called AB Brown Trust.AB Brown had been headed by the man who was the current Executive Director of the CIA, Buzzy Krongard, on 9/11.The current head of AB Brown, a friend of Krongard's, mysteriously resigned with no explanation immediately after the attacks on 9/11, and oddly $2.5 million of the winnings made against United and American Airlines by bets made the day before 9/11 . . . were never claimed.
As far as I know the man was never questioned about that, and the 9/11 Commission, led by Bush Admin. confidant Phil Zelikow, refused to look into the insider trades with any enthusiasm.
However, it was Mike Ruppert’s research into the mysteriously timed multiple war games of 9/11 that eventually evolved into his riveting research book entitled, Crossing the Rubicon. His book asks why were war games which had the effect of causing a US Air Force stand down all scheduled for 9/11/2001?Who ordered them? Was it Vice President Cheney, who appeared to have been in charge of a stand down order for our Air Force which allowed an aircraft to hit the Pentagon on 9/11, when there was still time to take it down and save many lives?
Transportation Secretary Norm Minetta’s testimony to the 9/11 Commission, for any investigator worth his/her salt, would have called for detailed questioning of Cheney, which never happened. Even more oddly the Transportation Secretary’s testimony was left out of the 9/11 Commission report.Left out by a Commission headed by Philip Zelikow a Bush Administration confidant, and co-author of a book with Condaleeza Rice, before his being forced down the throats of 9/11 family members who avidly protested a Bush Admin insider like Zelikow heading the Commission.
By William E. Douglas, Jr., who is author of "The Amateur Parent – A Book on Life, Death, War & Peace, and Everything Else in the Universe." Bill has been a guest columnist for the Kansas City Star, The Business Journal, and other media worldwide. His past essays include, "Exposing the 9/11 Conspiracy Wingnuts," "The Explosion of the 9-11 Truth Movement -- US Media's Dirty Little Secret," "Good Night, and Good Luck - WMD, NIST, Popular Mechanics, 9/11 and Media Crimes" and also "Why the Jewish Community Should Demand 9/11 Truth."
Maybe Kevin's collecting names and addresses of his enimies for that day when the truthers sieze power. I think he plans to go out and round up all his critics and enemies for a little "necktie" party.
BWAHH HAA HAAAH HAA.

Where a Public Official Who Lied Us Into War Lives, is diffe
Where a Public Official Who Lied Us Into War Lives, is different than an individual citizen's personal info being tapped and aired.
If you can't see the difference, that's sad.
Also, Alten's personal email was somehow accessed. Barrett never suggested hacking into public officials computers.
What's your point here . . . is it that anyone who questions this govt. is fair game for anything? I don't think most readers here would agree with you on that?

Public posting of private info without consent is wrong
Firstly, I think is TRULY sad and disturbing that Mr. Alten has experienced such attacks upon his person. And certainly I CONDEMN such attacks. And yet, Mr. Alten (and probably yourself Mr. Douglas) should be aware that when you compress the lines of fiction and reality together, there probably will be some "friction" in the form of public attacks. However, this certainly doesn't justify what's occurred or is occurring to either of you.
Secondly, it's my belief that at no point should a private citizen's or public official's private information be posted on the Internet, unless it's been processed in accordance with acceptable use laws or has received permission from the citizen or official themselves. I really don't see why it's "okay" that a public official's residence information can be posted – especially when it's posted by (a) someone(s) with neutral or negative opinions of the official. The "lied about the war" qualifier that you reference is immaterial because it represents an opinion and not established fact or legal truth.
And thirdly, the point made with regard Mr. Barrett's web site is that he appears to believe in a quid pro quo when it comes to "friction". The tasing of Mr. Meyer, while public, did not require the public posting of address information on the officers involved in securing him. But Mr. Barrett appeared to follow your suggestion that it's "okay" to post information on the officers. I honestly believe that' such action is just plain wrong and will only provoke a "retribution" attack in like kind.
I believe the irony of such an action, in light of Mr. Barrett's published support of Mr. Alten and his forthcoming book, borders on the edge of hypocrisy. This is the point being made by the comments.

Can you link us to the site where the private e-mail was posted so that we can see for ourselves? Not that I don't believe you, but . . . well actually I want to see proof of your claims

Apparently attention to detail isn't your strong suit...
There's a difference between someone vested with government "authority" engaged in what appears to be abuse of that authority, and someone, e.g., the author, expressing a personal opinion about an important topic, as he has a right to do.
Alas such nuance has no place in the "mind" of a pathetic statist drone such as yourself.

This is a very nice discussion of some the issue we face as seekers for justice. The peace movement and the anti-globalization movement, in short, any group questioning the elite, get the same treatment. In Canada, some activists captured quite clearly agents provacateur on video at Montebello in Quebec. An activist must assume that at some point, the movement will be infiltrated.
I think that the stress of dealing with this damaged Ruppert's health, and eventually led to his abandonment of 9-11 truth work.
We still have the issue of understanding who is actively shilling, or conducting disinformation campaigns by infiltrating activist groups. We can have our suspicians, but unless we see the paychecks, I am not sure how we can distinguish infiltrators from people with ideas that are misguided, perhaps more than a little bit 'cranky'. Of course, we are regarded as 'cranks' ourselves by many, incuding frequent commentators on this site.
It is so good to see you, and 'George Washington' posting routinely on this site.
I make the following suggestion with all due respect and in an attempt to be helpful: please find an editor to go through your article. It needs to be edited in a number of areas. One example is that you use the sentence "Personally, I have read it, and I know exactly what it is that threatens the powers that be" twice at the end of the article (if that was intentional, it doesn't work).
Considering that your article is being being linked to from theshellgame.net, I thought you might want to make your article to be as tightened-up and polished as possible.
Best,
AC

I think you let the Weisenthal Centre off way too easily. They should be required to put up or shut up. Are you afraid of them? Poor guy, get some backbone for Pete's sake!

Very good timing, Bill, especially with the recent attempt to (with complicity of the MSM) further propagandize Americans with the recent Iranian gunboat 'provocation' sham.
When people react with emotions such as fear, instead of cold hard reason & rational thinking, blind faith rather than evidence, they become sheep ready for slaughter by the unscrupulous. We have seen it too many times in history, but I still believe it possible (somehow) to break this vicious cycle. Keep up the good work; you have more people on your side now than even you are aware of.
For humans to survive & thrive as more than mere slaves 'we' have no choice but to specifically identify the elusive individuals in the 'they'. Just as the enemies of truth repeat their lies until they are believed to be true, so too must we repeatedly name the names of the criminals whose intent is to enslave humanity. Only then can an intentionally dumbed-down, ignorant, ill-informed, propagandized public have any hope of seeing the light of truth.

Congratulations on a well-written, insightful and comprehensive piece. The chronology of major figures like Jones and Gage is valuable in and of itself. The added layer of cointelpro is made even more effective because of that solid work.
You probably know this, but Michael Wolsey at Visibility 9/11 also investigates the cointelpro aspect and has done a series on it: http://visibility911.com/
Again, congrats and thanks for this important article.

“However, some of the transcripts are highly redacted. What information did the New York Times redact? You guessed it... supporting evidence for Directed Energy Weapons! This was confirmed by a later interview with one of the First Responders!
So, the media is nothing more than a propaganda machine. Anyone promoting controlled demolitions instead of directed energy weapons is playing right into the 9/11 perpetrators' hands.”
So is CB_Brooklyn one of those you denounce as Disinfo?

BUT, if you want to turn off everyone from the 9/11 truth movement, a sure way to do it is to tell them that there were no planes hitting the WTC buildings on 9/11, and they only saw some fantastic holographic illusion.
They'll laugh at you and never look at real 9/11 facts again.

First of all, government plants like Steven Jones have brainwashed the "truth movement" into thinking directed energy weapons and Tv-Fakery are "crazy disinfo". He did that for a purpose: to hide the real truth.
Second, there are people who have the brains to apply basic physics to an event, such as Newton's Laws of Motion to the cartoon airplanes. The videos are fake.
Third, your claim that people will "laugh at you" is silly and unfounded. The TRUTH is that most people see the TRUTH of 9/11 from the directed energy weapon / TV-Fakery evidence, especially when coupled with attorney Jerry Leaphart's two court cases in the US District Court, Southern New York.
Even Peter Jennings knew the 9/11 airplane video was fake. Note his nervousness and word fumbling when ABC plays the clip back in slow motion. Click here for video.Show it to people and gauge their reaction.
If people laugh at the idea of holograms/projections, show them the analysis of the WTC Task Force Interviews that were published in the New York Times. Prove to them that a very small percentage of the First Responders who reported seeing airplanes also reported hearing them. In other words, most of the First Responders did NOT report hearing commercial aircraft. However, they had no trouble hearing the fighter jets later on!Click here for analysis. Show it to people and gauge their reaction.
The perpetrators are controlling the "truth movement"! Can't you see that?
Lenin, the first Communist dictator after the takeover of Russia in 1917, is widely credited with the following quotation, "The best way to control the opposition is to lead it ourselves."

How do we know that Steven Jones found anything? I mean, has anyone even heard of this guy before 9/11? I haven't, but others have. He was the one who discredited free energy Cold Fusion research back in 1989. (See my blog here for information.)
Take a look at this 1993 news video clip of Dr Eugene Mallove. He certainly seems confident in the future of Cold Fusion heating devices in homes, doesn't he? Note that he blames the Dept of Energy report in 1989 for erasing all funding for Cold Fusion.
See Dr Mallove's 1993 book "Fire from Ice" and you'll learn the techniques that Steven Jones used to discedit Cold Fusion. Then apply it to 9/11 and you'll see it's the same thing!
As far as the dancing Israelis, it may have actually happened. But the way I see things these days... if it was published in the media, it was for the purpose of distracting people from other issues. Why else would they publish it???

People would be more willing and less fearful of adopting the views of 911 Truth activists if they felt they were calling for forgiveness rather than retribution and punishment.
The peace movement should call for granting amnesty from prosecution and guarantee of an ample, lifetime pension to anyone who agrees to testify on their roles in the events of 9/11, extending this offer to any members of the US government, foreign governments and/or terrorist groups involved in the planning or execution of the attacks of that day.
Additionally, individuals should step forward and volunteer to spend time working with those who give testimony on crimes they have committed so that they might be reintegrated into society.
Instead of executing Nazi war criminals we should have devoted all the human resources available to us to rehabilitating them, awakening in them awareness of the nature of their actions so that they could have come to understand that they must make amends. If they had remained alive they would have been a living testament to the transformative powers of forgiveness.
Historians and psychologists especially should come out in favor of preserving invaluable study material in the form of the opportunity to converse with the authors of unfortunate historical deeds.
A declaration of willingness to forgive would force the government's hand. If it were to arrest or make attempts to discredit someone calling for 911 truth plus forgiveness, that would be a tacit acknowledgement by the government of its complicity in the 9/11 attacks. Imagine the impact of footage on YouTube of police arresting demonstrators carrying signs reading: "I forgive you George Bush for 9/11." Perhaps even the passively complicit mainstream media could be convinced to show someone carrying a sign calling for amnesty for the perpetrators of 9/11.
If we consider ourselves morally superior to the government, we should propose actions and attitudes that are more humanitarian with respect to them than their actions have been with respect to us.
I strongly suspect that the white apartheid government in South Africa did not agree to fair elections until assured that they would not be executed or imprisoned by the black majority government when it came to power.
In "The Art of War", Sun Tzu said never to surround an enemy. If you do not leave him an out, he will fight to the last man
Finally, these ideas do not depend on the media for their dissemination. If you can convince six friends of the merit of these ideas and get them to tell six of their own friends tomorrow, each of whom tells six of their friends the next day, and so on, then the ideas will reach every person in the world in two weeks by word of mouth alone (do the math).
