9/11 Truth is Not a PRIVATE CLUB . . . Or Is It? The poster’s post, paraphrased was along the lines of, “Gee, this guy isn’t anyone I’ve heard of in the 9/11 movement . . . should we help promote his book?” By William E. I am a concerned citizen(and musician) of Canada,watching the madness unfold to my south. I am hoping to connect some of the dots between the Bush/Cheney regime, the neo-conservatives, the C.I.A, the military, and of course oil and the banking institutions. It is becomming quite obvious to most people who still retain their critical thinking skills the corruptness that pervades the current administration.
TRUTH My red flag goes up anytime I see a reply to a post that does not address substance. Why go to the trouble of bringing up font style and size,and not deal with the subject? A common tactic used by people bent on distorting the truth and hiding the facts. Regarding the article, I believe the 9/11 truth movement is comprised of a wide variety of activists, authors, acedemics, proffessionals, and ordinary people. This will obviously affect the way they write and define their positions. Obviously the movement is not a club, it is a movement- and it is worldwide. There will always be ignorant positions taken up by individuals( that is the beauty of free speech). There will also be individuals planted by the neocon fascists, (or blind patriots) to spread disinformation and detract from the debate. by

I am a bone fide skeptic. I find the glut of nonsense posted on the internet to be particulary annoying. My goal is to explore the realms of stupidity and hold them up for closer inspection. This can be tricky, since stupid evaporates quickly in the light of reason.

shunning others I think Mr. Douglas is right that new people joining the cause should not be shunned. The fact these people become immediately suspect however only shows us the rampant delusional paranoia going on. I also appreciated Mr. Douglas' article that esposes the wing nuts in the movement, having written a similar article myself exposing certain right wing elements. And just as Robert Fisk had warned in his dig, "Questioning 9/11 with Caution," the ravers were not kind, calling me everything from a member of the truth police to being an agent of the MOSSAD and worse. This" my way or the hiway ideology" is my biggest turnoff, though there are many good, professional non wing nuts presenting valid information that shouldn't be ignored. But when actions like these occur, people are more likely to be turned away from the movement and ignore all of it as hogwash, whether it all is or not. by

movement has been infiltrated That is exactly what some 'truthers' want...they are in it to fragment the groups into splinters with disinfo and alienate some of those sitting on the fence so that they stop looking at it. Obviously, the movement has been infiltrated by those trying to cover up the crimes. The Shell Game IS a great tool for opening people's eyes, and getting them to look at 9-11 more closely, even though it stops short of mentioning any links to Mossad et al that seem to pop up in any close examiniation of the facts. by

My article "Exposing the 9/11 Wing Nuts" was about the way corporate media and political figures are behaving irrationally in the way the ignore and attack anyone questioning the VERY problematic official 9/11 story. Just so all know, that article was in no way or form about fellow 9/11 truth activists seeking a new 9/11 investigation . . . the wingnuts it referred to were the "corporate media" and "political figures" who irrationally attack anyone who still has critical thinking skills when it comes to the lunatic official 9/11 story. ... attack anyone questioning ... Those who promote the 9/11 Commission Report realize that once questioning begins, the whole official conspiracy theory falls apart. That is why I am encouraged by your continuing effort to keep 9/11 in front of people. While I acknowledge that Steve Alten does not touch some very important leads that may implicate others involved in the events of 9/11, I certainly welcome whatever attention his book will bring to the matter. Indeed, 9/11 Truth is not a private club, with some standard approved program "Truth version 5.1" that everyone MUST accept. What is important is that the body of verified evidence and reasearch continues to be documented. It is from this that rational people can draw their own conclusions. I am glad when engineers confine themselves to engineering and whistle blowers to the documents they handled. It is not needed or wanted that everyone hold a position on every aspect of 9/11. by

Wise words. One addition . . . My hope from this oped isn't just that those wanting a new 9/11 investigation will "tolerate and welcome" Steve Alten. BUT, rather that we work to help spread the word and enable their work to be as successful as possible. When Rosy came out for 9/11 truth on The View, corporate media and all the pop culture blogs attacked her visciously . . . I posted and blogged and emailed many people in the 9/11 truth movement BEGGING THEM to focus on supporting Rosy at that crucial time . . . . . . she got a little effort on her behalf, and the 9/11 movement lost a voice on network TV that was demanding 9/11 truth daily . . . In Wendy's world 9/11 truth is dead from the start . . . In any mass movement a coalition is required that agrees on ONE THING. In the civil rights movement there were many people from many different views of the world who came together. In the Vietnam Anti-War mass movement there were MANY divergent groups and people coming together. This above poster is the "9/11 Truth is a Private Club" mentality. If you listen to them, the movement is dead. There is NO ONE, I repeat NO ONE in the 9/11 truth movement that I agree on everything with. I'm just amazed at how, we've got a novelist that has written a popular work that will make readers know they've been LIED TO ABOUT 9/11, and will enlarge the enraged number of Americans DEMANDING A NEW INVESTIGATION . . . And the Wendy types don't spend time figuring out how we are going to explode this 9/11 truth movement into the wide public . . . they spend a disturbing amout of time ATTACKING OTHERS IN THE MOVEMENT. Forget Wendy and her type. If you want a new 9/11 investigation, then Steve Alten and "The Shell Game" are compatriots we SHOULD SUPPORT BY GETTING THIS BOOK TO #1. WHY? BECAUSE IT'LL GET MILLIONS TO KNOW THEY'VE BEEN LIED TO ABOUT 9/11. THEN WE GET A NEW INVESTIGATION, AND WE WILL FIND OUT WHO DID WHAT . . . SO LONG AS WENDY KEEPS US ALL ARGUING AND DIVIDED . . . THEN THERE'LL NEVER BE AN INVESTIGATION . . . . . . I OFTEN WONDER IF THAT IS NOT THE PLAN. You get the Wendy's, and they've been there from the beginning, yelling, "THE JEWS! THE JEWS! THE JEWS!" And then you get a major documentary called "Protocals of Zion" that try to smear the 9/11 truth movement as a hate-rascist movement. AND THEN you see "Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth" being accused by the Simon Weisenthal Center on C-SPAN of being a hate group. Is all this coincidence or a concerted campaign to defame the 9/11 truth movement. I got into this because it became obvious to me that we've been lied to about 9/11, and that people in our government it looks like had something to do with it. But for Wendy and her type, it's all about "THE JEWS, THE JEWS, THE JEWS." A friend of mine took some 9/11 truth info, years ago to Chris Matthews of MSNBC at a book signing. When my friend asked him to look at it, Matthews sneered at my friend and said, "What, you gonna tell me the JEWS DID IT." The Wendy's got to Matthews and probably the whole US media with their nutty JEW JEW JEW mentality. They poisoned the 9/11 truth movement. Now, once we DO GET AN INVESTIGATION . . . we'll find out who was involved and if Moussad or elements of it were involved, THEN WE'LL FIND OUT. I JUST DON'T THINK WENDY TYPES REALLY WANT TO FIND OUT. MAYBE THEY DO, BUT ARE TOO DUMB TO KNOW HOW POISONOUS THEY ARE. I doubt it. ANYWAY, "THE SHELL GAME" if we can drive it to #1 can bring millions of eyes to REAL 9/11 truth activism and research. Exclusivity has become so predominant in the 9/11 movement that 911blogger.com no longer even lists http://911scholars.org as a 9/11 research site, in spite of the fact that Scholars for 9/11 Truth has been enormously important in the past and its members include some of the best qualified scientists studying these events. blogger even deleted my blog and locked me out of posting, which means that there is no opportunity for me to offer opinions and findings at variance with the preconceptions of those who visit and post. Indeed, the purism of much of the movement means that it really has no idea of the state of research on the subject of the movement they claim to promote. I recommend that anyone who wants to get up-to-speed on what is known about 9/11 obtain a copy of The Madison Conference DVD, "The Science and Politics of 9/11", 14 hours of the latest and the best 9/11 research, which you cannot find elsewhere. The situation is a disgrace. by

I am an individual who is interested in exposing the true events of the 9/11 attacks.
It Has Been Pointed Out It has been pointed out (by me, in another thread) that the shell game is propaganda, yet Mr Douglas still doesn't understand. The New York Times does not represent the truth of 9/11. They represent propaganda. (See my article here for several examples of this.) The Shell Game pushes the Peak Oil HOAX. Amateur pilot terrorists hit Twin Towers? Well, I haven't really sweated and froze, etc to get the truth out about 911, but I did come to the conclusion some time ago that the collapse of Building 7 was hard to swallow. However, the link below brought to my attention that those jets that flew into the twin towers must have been remote controlled, since hitting those buildings would have been difficult for experienced pilots, much less possible for amateurs. by
