By Mohammad Ala

Mohammad Mossadegh was an Iranian politician who served as the 35th Prime Minister of Iran, holding office from 1951 until 1953, when his government was overthrown in the 1953 Iranian coup d'e'tat orchestrated by the United States' Central Intelligence Agency and the United Kingdom's MI6.

A non-scientific poll of 5000 people in four different Western countries over a period of several years, proved that 99.9% of them have not heard Mossadegh's name nor cared about who he was.

There are hundreds if not thousands of sources how Western countries brought down the Prime Minister of Iran.

All the Shah's Men: An American Coup and the Roots of Terror in West Asia (Sig), by Stephen Kinzer

Western citizens remain ignorant of the role(s) their governments have played in overthrowing various governments.

Countercoup: The Struggle for the Control of Iran by Kermit Roosevelt, Jr.

This book gives inside details on the 1953 CIA overthrow of the elected Iranian government. Kermit Roosevelt was the CIA Director in charge of the operation (Operation Ajax) and was on the ground in Iran, running the operation with his agents. Kermit Roosevelt was allowed to write this book that the permission would not have been given to anyone else. This action influenced the Western countries in future clandestine operations, not only in the West Asia, but also in Latin America. The Ajax operation killed democracy in Iran, for a long time. Roosevelt rudely writes out why and how he conducted this operation.

Secrets of History: The CIA in Iran, from the New York Times

CIA Confirms Role in 1953 Iran Coup, from the National Security Archive (CIA documents on the Iran Operation)

Sixty four years later, CIA releases some details of Iranian Coup, from Foreign Policy Magazine.

After 70 years later, Iranians are not hopeful that Western countries will stop interference in the internal affairs of their region. Killings, lootings, destructions will continue even under new President.

It will be very hard for Western countries to accept a strong yet independent Iran. However, Iranian missiles have brought peace to the Persian Gulf.

Cri mesagainst Iranians have continued.

People are afraid. Overthrowing regimes and changing the UN recognized names and the geopolitical maps will not stop. It seems to me this is long term policy going back to British Empire. The accent on long-term structural relationships, but this rhetoric only concealed a short-term opportunism of the kind revealed by the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan (the longest war in history)

Iran's Nuclear roots? See Atoms for Peace, where starting in 1957 the USA provided the Shah of Iran (after overthrowing Mossadegh in 1953) nuclear technology. Iran was and is a member of IAEA, NPT, and the UN, JCPOA gave it fewer rights. Iran must NOT accept to return to JCPOA because it violated all international accords.

In the space of about the last ten years, the perception of the USA seems to be in a shift from: somewhat honest-broker on West Asia (wrongly known as the Middle-East) and African affairs to that of brutal, capricious, dishonest, and desperate empire that has abandoned all else in favor of military force.

In brief, America has given laissez-faire capitalism a bad reputation. Many who previously looked to America for economic and social guidance now prefer to look at other models. As for America's foreign policy, it appears to follow the Genghis Khan model. And many American believe that foreigners "don't understand them" or are "jealous of their way of life or their freedom", while Western countries drop bombs and kill their citizens.

The three former presidents attending Biden's swearing in might be an insurance that they would not be prosecuted for War Crimes which were committed under their leadership. Power of presidential pardon has been abused for criminals who have spied for foreign entities.

Authors Bio:

Iran, pronounced Eeran NOT Eye-ran...".> Hint: Italy: Eetaly not Eye-taly.

Iran has been in the region properly termed 'West Asia' -- not the 'Middle East' for thousand of years.

It is heart-warming to see more and more scholars look past politics to discover Iran's contributions to science, film, and literature. One good piece of evidence is the display of Iranian artifacts in the majority of the world's museums.

The term 'Middle East' is a fake term invented in the 20th century for the benefit of rationalizing British (and hence European) imperial interests.

The "Islamic Civilization" is another fake term. Interesting that Western societies do not lump themselves with Koreans and Filipinos onto a single "Christian Civilization."

After living and working in many countries, I have become an environmentalist. I am an independent business Professor and documentary film producer about environment and creatures in it.

I have spent most of my professional life as a university Professor and as an Advisor to companies seeking to streamline their operations and to make them more efficient. My Doctorate Degree is in Quantitative Methods, Production and Operations Management. As a University Professor, I received Outstanding Professor Awards from several universities.

As a film producer, I received the 'Best Foreign Film Award' from several international festivals for my documentary films, e.g., on the spider-tailed viper of Iran which it received a Panda Award from Wildscreen Film Festival in England in October 2018. The award is called Green Oscar among environmentalists. 2019 Awards: NaturVision, Deutscher Wildlife Filmpreis, Germany. 22 Gran Paradiso Film Festival, Cogne, Italy.

Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species listed Spider-tailed Viper on August 27, 2019. This Convention is in Geneva, Switzerland. This action will make sure when I pass away this creature will continue to live.

I welcome competition while my main goal is to educate public and protect the precious environment until I pass away.

The earth belongs to all of us and sadly is in need of care. Dumping waste, especially poisonous weed killers for weeds and Crops similar to "agent orange," should be banned.

Native people should not be forced out of their homes to make room for settlers who arrive from different countries.
Western countries and Russia have not been punished for their crimes against humanity

My professional and personal experience has convinced me that the world has become more dangerous and threatening. I have created several NGOs to protect what is left of the environment and of the creatures in it and to preserve historical heritages with emphasis on Iran's heritage and contributions to this world.
