Push CheneyBush Impeachment now with 'Nixon Flooding Plan'

By       (Page 1 of 2 pages)   No comments

Dozens of Representatives, including a very young John Conyers, Jr. hoppered resolutions calling for the impeachment of President Richard Nixon. This strategy worked marvelously in 1973-74, pushing the House Judiciary to begin impeachment investigations, eventually sending the impeachment hearings to the floor of the House.

Nixon's resignation for crimes that paled in comparison to those of Cheney/Bush was the sweet justice that America desperately needed.

A group out of Portland, Oregon is leading a push to duplicate this successful plan starting this coming week. Here is a letter from Marcia Meyers  of the "We The People" National Coalition for Impeachment:

You can find a 1/2 page flyer as a .pdf file suitable for printing available at: ImpeachforPeace.org designed to hand out at the "Five Years of Iraq Occupation" events taking place Nationally during the Weekend of March 15 & 16 as well as in the following weeks. The flyer will encourage Peace Activists everywhere to support "The Flooding Plan" by:

Flooding our Congressional Representatives Offices during the Four Week Period between March 15 – April 11 with A "National Call for Impeachment" - using all means available, including the "Nixon (Bush/Cheney) Flooding Plan. The plan is as follows:

Weeks 1 and 2 - March 15 - 30  Congressional Reps will be in their home offices over "Easter/Spring District Work Period". Flood them by phone, in person or by email. Make appointments for that time now!  Most effective tool is in-person visit by several constituents making a strong statement!

Week 3) March 31 – April 11 Congressional Reps will be back in DC.  Flood their DC Offices with phone calls, emails and, if possible, visits.

Due to the peace and justice energy surrounding the upcoming Iraq Invasion Commemoration Events, the next four weeks offer all of us, who have not given into the defeatism of "It's Too Late", "It will be over in November", "It's impossible because of Pelosi, Conyers, the Democratic Party, the alignment of the stars, etc." messages, that seem to be rampant, the opportunity to spread the word that Impeachment is not only Possible but it is also Essential  and "We the People" can make it happen!!
