What is "the deep state"? First, I think it is a fuzzy, highly uninformative term. For example, "deep" in what? Or "state" meaning what, another star on the U.S. flag? On the other hand, no better term comes to mind, except to put the concept into a sentence or possibly a longer phrase. Such as this: The "deep state" refers to those hidden players (for the most part) fleeing in the shadows, but who in reality control our puppet politicians across the board (with a possible tiny handful of exceptions).
Following is the best description I'm aware of describing this whole situation in more detail. I will say that Debbie Lusignan's statements are buttressed greatly by major writers, such as Glen Greenwald, Paul Craig Roberts, Chris Hedges, and many more, as appear on OEN and other sites regularly. Ditto by simply trying to connect the confusing dots that we see on a daily basis ourselves.
The danger that Debbie points out here is that the MSM (owned by I think six companies) and the deep state itself, such as the CIA and NSA, spouts the same meme, which is now rocking the news and capturing a large number of folks who want to get rid of Trump. Who doesn't, of course, but the grander picture is that anyone so doing is buying into and helping vindicate what truly is a small cabal (presently at odds with itself from all one can discern) that shapes our hostilities toward the rest of the world and continues to push for wars and "American exceptionalism" (I'd say we already have the latter, being the most exceptional a**holes on the planet).
