Rob Kall: And
welcome to the Rob Kall Bottom Up radio Show, WNJC 1360 AM, reaching metro
Philly and South Jersey out of Washington Township, New Jersey, sponsored by Opednews.com . My guest tonight is Michael
Meade. I first encountered the genius of
Michael Meade at the founding Mystic Journeys Conference in Atalanta in 2004. Michael is a renowned storyteller, author and
scholar of mythology, anthropology, and psychology. The bio is really long. I'm going to cut to some of the writing. You're the author of Why the World Doesn't
End, Fate and Destiny, The Two Agreements of the Soul, The
World Behind the World, The Water of Life, Initiation and the
Tempering of the Soul. And that's
just a small part of it. Now, you also
have an organization. Could you tell us
a little bit about that? That's "Mosaic?"
Michael Meade: "Mosaic
Multi-cultural Foundation," and it's about 25 years old. I started it, and through it we work with
at-risk youths in communities all around the country; and we also work with
battle veterans coming back from Afghanistan and Iraq, and we also do work in
prisons. But we also work with college
students, and so on, and we do a lot of
community organizing, bringing artists and activists together to build soulful
communities.
Rob Kall: And the
website is Mosaicvoices.org . That's a place where people can also find out
about your writing and your work as well.
Michael Meade: Yeah they
can see information about the various projects and programs, and about the CDs
as well as the books, and that kind of thing.
