Eric Holder, will the first African American United States Attorney General, according to Michael Isikoff of Newsweek. The Obama appointment, pending the standard vettting process,
Holder was Deputy attorney general from 1997 to 2001 and briefly, acting attorney general, from January 20, 2001 – February 2, 2001, Eric Holder was a close advisor to Barack Obama.
My God!! A Black AG. Just think about it. Every tin horn, racist, redneck, bully sheriff and cop will have to think twice before unfairly treating black people who in the past might have been their victims.
Imagine, there's a black man who's been picked up on suspicion, or who is being considered for being picked. Up. the sheriff says, "Let's get that N*word."
The deputy, remembering who the AG is, suggest, "Maybe we better take it a little easier sir." We're talking about racial profiling, racist treatment of prisoners... And this happens 100,000 times in the first year Holder's in office. By the second year, after a handful of stupid redneck sheriffs have been dealt with, it happens 200,000 times. By the third year, it drops to 50,000. There aren't many sheriffs who even consider racist abuse of blacks. Ain't it a pretty thought?
Imagine those Bush appointees in the department of justice who impeded any discrimination investigations and who blocked hiring of blacks. I wonder how they're feeling about now. Nervous, I hope.
