In contrast to Dick Cheney's dismissive attitude toward Americans' dissatisfaction with the Iraq war, a recent poll found that 81% of Americans believe that "when making 'an important decision,' government leaders 'should pay attention to public opinion polls because this will help them get a sense of the public's views.'" WH claims Americans only "have input every four years" regarding policy matters...
