Though presumably Paul Ryan understood when posing for Time photographers that the pictures might end up in the magazine, his staffers say they'd been assured that the shots would never run. While it appears that Ryan was auditioning for a bit part in an Adam Sandler movie, they were actually taken when he was in the running to be the magazine's "Person of the Year." An aide says, "To release these photos on the same day when important issues are to be discussed is, in my view, poor judgment." Yes, the man pumping iron in a backwards baseball cap is accusing others of exercising "poor judgement." |
