Hackers posted private information belonging to more than 100 Los Angeles area police officers on the Internet, a police officer said. Tony Vairo, president of the Los Angeles County Police Canine Association, said the group was contacted Tuesday by the FBI to inform them their Web site had been hacked, the Los Angeles Times reported Friday. "It's not right and we will pursue it [a case] on every level, state or federal." Vario, a San Fernando police officer, told the newspaper. Authorities said the information belonging to the officers was not available to the public. The information was posted on a site that allows users to anonymously input data. |
