Just came across this OUTSTANDING comment of yours you made on June 7, 2016:'Reply to Richard Pietrasz:
What you say is true but applies only to the early days of JFK's administration. He had initially bowed to great pressure from cold warriors and their political allies like fascist McCarthy.
What caught them off guard apparently was that JFK changed his mind. His now famous National Security Action Memo 263 (NSAM 263) , was filed only six weeks before his death. It indicated JFK intended to withdraw from Vietnam, starting with 1,000 troops by the end of 1963, which was only a couple of months away.
The great escalation in the Vietnam War came immediately after the Boys got JFK out of the way and there was nothing stopping them. A vast orgy of money-making ensued....
