President Obama, please restore justice and pardon my father Now that the election is over, I am asking you to please pardon my father, Don Eugene Siegelman, who, I believe, was targeted by prosecutors, wrongfully convicted, and unjustly imprisoned for something that has never been a crime in this country.

The Story Behind My Dad's Incarceration Nine years ago, the Bush Administration went after my father. GOP operatives in Alabama and Washington D.C. struck up a plan to bring my dad down politically, essentially crippling his chances for reelection and setting the stage for a prosecution that would strip him of his lifelong earnings, his law license, his ability to run for public office, and most importantly, his freedom.

Many people who are involved with these injustices have yet to be contacted for testimony. URGENT: My dad has been imprisoned on corruption charges My father, Don Siegelman, former governor of Alabama, was recently imprisoned on corruption charges. He was indicted four years ago on corrupt charges brought forth by U.S. prosecutor Leura Canary, wife of his political opponent's campaign manager. Leura is married to Bill Canary, former partner and long-time friend of Karl Rove. There is evidence linking Karl, Bill, and current Alabama gov. Bob Riley, to the case
