Trump and the Factions of the US Oligarchy Trump is backed by one faction of the US oligarchy and opposed by the dominant "liberal" faction. Most of the media is associated with the liberal establishment, accounting for much of the negative coverage this administration is receiving. Neither faction represents democratic interests.
