Is "Liberal" still a useful term?
Number one rule of politics. Brand yourself before your opponent does.
Has the term Liberal outlived its usefulness as a self-brand? Being a liberal has become associated with a lot of nanny-state nonsense as well as a lot of the terrible things the Democrats have done.
Is a tainted term that's sole purpose was protecting people from their government still relevant in an age of corporate oligarchy?

Is "Liberalism" Still a Useful Term?
Liberalism is a term that means contradictory things in different periods and contexts. Do Progressives and their politics still want to be referred to as Liberal? Should we continue to use the term ourselves?
