I am a hippy that never dropped out. I have held on to impossible idealism and will not give up. I think the human race is a ticking time bomb and we are at the last tick. So what is the good of slow careful pragmatism that allows time for it all to happen with less than miraculous speed ? Right now we need near-impossible idealism or we need to go extinct so we can stop killing our planet. Other life forms may need it after we have almost destroyed it. Humans seem to be a very clever but unwise species that is not making it. At the very least we could go down with a little dignity. We have no planetary culture with both head and heart. And our numbers are so great we must have that. See you next lifetime on another planet incarnated in another species, I guess.

This entire civilization is in free fall to something entirely new. When we hit the bottom and the system shatters completely we will all be aware of it. Right now places like OPED allow us to see what is happening even now when things still work in many ways and places

Letters, words, sentences, paragraphs, chapters, books and libraries have beginnings and endings. This time is a time when we rewrite the whole library. Tokien's Lord of the rings tells of such a time long ago and the myth has much meaning today

All energy in this realm is entropic energy or energy moving relentlessly toward chaos. Scientists in studying the subatomic realm find a place where this is not so. All the holy men tell us "Go Within".
To find your own inalienable right to be a person who has the right of self determination and the right to assemble with like persons one must seek first an inner realm. One finds there that one has the right to BE!

The beauty of this world is meant to be enjoyed briefly. We are meant to live lightly in this world and try and find our home in a world far greater. Things that hold us too much become like spider webs and spiders and can hinder our development and give us a sting of poison
