Or, perhaps some other filthy rich fat cat such as Sheldon Adelson? Will they both gallop in on their white horses with cash registers in their saddlebags? Why Stopping The Ward Valley Nuclear Waste Dump Is Worth Remembering... Members of the Ft. Mohave Indian Tribe have always known the true value of gratitude, love and respect for our sacred Mother Earth and all life that lives upon it. This is also well known in Shamanic traditions from all cultures on all continents. However, too many of us have not yet learned to live in harmony with nature. It is imperative that we do so if we are to survive in a world worth living.

The Passing of Anthony Guarisco IAAV/AAV was a 501(c)3 non profit organization that worked on behalf of Veterans who participated in the 1940s and '50s in U.S. atmospheric nuclear weapons testing and were injured as a result of their exposure to radiation released from the weapon detonations. Anthony Guarisco, an atomic veteran who honorably served in both WWII and Korea, was the founder and director.

Regardless of Screeching Media Banter, Whistleblowers are our Bravest Heroes Currently, Bradley Manning is being thoroughly ostracized in the mainstream media that is working overtime to demonize him as a confused, abused nut-job with conflicting gender identity issues. Never mind the fact that he's an honorable U.S. soldier (with a conscience) who blew-the-whistle and exposed U.S. hypocrisy.

America is Dying (But don't blame me, I'm just the messenger) I thought this was the home of the brave and land of the free! Why do we seem content to roll over for this crap? For some time now, I have seen this fundamental shift quickly escalate. I have watched my fellow citizens eagerly give-up huge swaths of liberty and freedom in exchange for vague promises of increased security. Why? Have we lost all common sense along with our druthers?

Pawns Are Always Expendable When Played If I could ask the Highest Deity for one small favor, one simple concession--it would be that all politicians who support or voted in favor of going to war -- including the Generals who think it's cool to play God with human lives on their chessboard of death via covert action or otherwise--that they attend each soldier's funeral and look into the eyes of each family member and explain to them why their loved ones are dead!

Evaluating The Grim And Finding Viable Solutions Our leaders and news media clowns all try to convince us that "The terrorists hate us for our freedoms." But those of us who did our homework know better. You can't have a foreign policy objective that dictates marching around the globe with jackboots taking (by force) whatever you want to satisfy stockholders, without some blow-back.

No More Mr. Nice Guy: Enough is ENOUGH! Turn off the TV. Grow a garden. Do not let our children enlist in the military. Do not work for the corporations of the military industrial complex. Be wise consumers and do not invest your hard-earned money with them. Get involved and support grassroots organizations that represent peace and goodwill.

I guess life really is a vast ocean filled to the brim with challenges, lessons and "opportunity" that each of us -- with our trusty moral and ethical compass in hand -- are forever child navigators trying to find safe passage through the many reefs laid before us.

Get Ready to Shake, Rattle and Glow -- The Worst is Yet to Come at Japan's Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant Here we are, the world is in peril and what is the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) doing about it? Nothing. Even though they could easily do it, they refuse to cut loose with the needed funds to fix this big mess. The IAEA also has a stockpile of money they could easily access to help the situation. Regardless, no one is doing a damn thing. This is unreal!
