There is one float we never see. It never turns the corner. The one we never see honored in public, for there are no sponsors lined up. Its profit potential is nil. It is the float of Human Kindness.

I have proof. I also have a sense. How each have value. How the latter is often left for last, if at all.

I am scared of only one thing now. That I will miss the truth. Not yours. Mine.

In the time it takes to notice the truth, knowledge becomes mute and humanity can again breathe.

This is not just about us. As it was long ago, so it is now. It is in our hands. So they will know.

On the reporting of this issue, the truth(s) surrounding Mrs. Palin's child Trig and the possibility that Trig is actually her daughter's son, we have failed. Miserably.

This was an Amanda Lang quick link. You must see him. This man is one of our shiny men. I bring to your attention retired Colonel Andrew J. Bacevich, who is compelling in his understanding, painfully frank in his sincerity and has the conscious ability to ask us to take responsibility for where we are. He is a voice, not on the ballot although he should be. Oh how he should be. Watch it all, do not skim. Do not nitpick. Listen.

This is my vent. It rambles, but I hope you'll get the point. It's about WE. Not us and them. Most people are pretty cool with the concept of WE. Our leaders are not. People's lives are in the balance. All our lives. Got the connection? You think everything is broken? It never wasn't. Life is a series of attempting to fix stuff. Here's an alternative.

A sincere attempt by one to offer reality a rest stop from itself. Snippets of humor, a bit of hurt and some human resilience written about with intended respect for the individual(s) chosen for this purpose. I nevertheless expect to be reamed for some of it.

Ok. Push back time. My button has been hit. I cannot sit quiet anymore. It's all about this war on terror thing folks. Nasty stuff. Hate for sale. Now, it is true they have most of the money, the power, the main stream media, and a good start at continuing this farce. But, they also have something else. They have forgotten something. Something very important.

Measured in years, I'm 56. My real age is where I am plus or minus where I'm going. I've experienced quite a lot, but compared to others, perhaps not so much. It is what it is. My life. We each have one. What we choose to do with it, as usual, is the point of this.

another perhaps naive but totally honest narrative on the essential idea that together we can do great things, assuming we can accept that 1)we are different and 2)we are all sharing the same soil.
