Yes, You Can Be Antiwar and Anti-Assad Too (And You Should Be) One section of the left believes that telling the truth about the war crimes of the Syrian Arab Republic should be avoided because it gives aid and comfort to warmongers. The left should avoid this stance. There is no contradiction in being opposed to US intervention in Syria while pointing out the crimes of Syrian president Bashar al-Assad.
