I turned on Glenn Beck tonight, just so I could see what this bubble head has to say. Big mistake. I should have left well enough alone. It seems as if he has read everyone of the articles I've written during the week and answered them one by one. He brought up the speech that Russian President Putin made at the International Security conference. The very speech I was so sold on that I put it up on my blog. He mentioned that Putin has made Russia debt-free, and the amazing part of this statement, he made it sound evil, repeating the phrase "debt free" three times! What...is this supposed to be some kind of heinous thing, for a nation to be "debt-free", or should we all just spend like drunken sailors and mortgage the country to China?
He also mentioned that Putin had spoke of a unipolar world power that had overstepped it's bounds. He didn't mention the overstepping of it's boundaries, I put that in because I read the speech. Beck proclaimed that it was a great thing that is was the USA under it's fine President instead of the former leader of the KGB that was the Unipolar power. Gee, maybe if it was Russia that was the remaining superpower they might start pushing their weight around and invading other nations. Oh that's right, it's the United States that has been doing that.
He then went on about the minimum wage that hasn't had an increase in over seven years. He described how it would ruin business that relied on minimum wage jobs to stay afloat. He brought up his families bakery shop that he grew up in. That made sense, looking at his double chins. He went on to say that it's just teens that work for minimum wage, and they have no expenses because they live with their parents. What a reasonable fellow Beck is. Not once did he even reference the fact that if the minimum wage went up, wages across the board would rise. He said that the market should control the rise of wages. Sure, like the market controls heath benefits and safe working conditions to it's employees. If it were up to people like Beck, people would get what they deserve...nothing. They would work for patriotic reasons to save us from the Islamic horde that is coming to ravage America.
Every time I see Beck I wonder how on Earth this brain-dead conservative that spouts the right wing line with hardly any deviation, got a job on CNN. Beck also complained that the Mainstream Media had made him out to be a conservative nut-case. You see Beck is seriously confused. The Mainstream Media pays his wages to spit out worn right wing phrases. The progressive media portrays him as a right wing nut case. That little observation I just made explains my point exactly. Beck doesn't even know he works for the MSM.
