What is the excuse for this?
I know--we threw this "little war party" together on a "shoe-string budget".
It don't wash in my book. You had the blue print to follow in "Desert Storm", but this time you threw that book away because you wanted to force a ground war""totally, incompetent, lunacy. For the sake of ego you committed American lives on the ground far too early in the campaign. And the rewards you get from that action is this dismal excuse of another war of attrition""kinda sorta""oh say it isn't so"""like Vietnam all over again!!! And with the size of our military industrial complex you have the nerve to short change my comrades with the basic essentials for protection!

With all due respect Sir, Mr. President, this whole fiasco truly stinks to high heaven. It hurts my heart""NO, Mr. President""It hurts me to my very soul that 24/7 I have to see and read about my fellow comrades-in-arms being physically and mentally subjected to the insanity of this present war in Iraq""which should have been ended the first time we were over there""but, political expediency/chicanery was the name of the game then""and we had to stop before getting the job done.

Digressing down memory lane a bit to the closing days of "Desert Storm", we were witnessed to hundreds of thousands of our Kurd and Iraqi allies being slaughtered, maimed, and imprisoned--and you and the media have the nerve to question why we find some of them now working in some of Al Queda's groups. Let's see could it be that we turned our backs on them and left them hung out without any support? I don't know, what do you think? How can that be "spin-doctored" for the public now? Where were our "High, Christian morals" then when we turned our backs on these brave people who tried to do as we did 200 years ago when we stood up and fought for our freedom. What happened to our "Spreading Democracy" then?

Why were they sacrificed?

Whose altar were they sacrificed on?

I will tell you now that that was our saddest hour, a shameful hour. They were patriots""ALL""and they were slaughtered and sacrificed on an altar that is whispered of, the one that exists behind closed doors in secret sessions, run by the people that President Eisenhower warned us about. The dank, musty, smoke-filled rooms where the heads of the military industrial complex meets to barter and bargain away human lives like some commodity at an auction.

Every one of you and the media ask the advice of all the war college trained officers, but seldom is even an eyebrow raised for the opinions of us grunts, airmen, seamen, and non-commissioned officers when it comes to behind closed doors war planning or the medias empty headed rhetorical spins on current events. Is it because in your paradigm we are only fodder, chattel, or pawns and really not worth your time or attention. That we will just mindlessly come to gather in the town square whenever the band starts warming up their instruments. That we will mindlessly start marching in a fully scripted concert, with an unknown chorus!

I respectfully submit to you Mr. President, that it's high time we approach this industrialist war with a new agenda, before we get our collective heads and asses handed to us on a platter. We are in this thing now so we either put up, or shut up. If you really want to make a "true" statement to the world. Get this war in gear, finish it, finish it""In The Name Of The Creator""FINISH IT NOW!!!

Either you "Stand Up" or, "Stand Down"""there is no in-between. And bring my Brothers/Sisters Comrades-In-Arms the hell back home. Because the gears of this Industrialist War Machine has been lubricated with the blood of my comrades long enough""SIR!!!
