I listen to many of Sean's podcasts. As much as I'm considerably less of a materialist that he is, I think he is brilliant, well-spoken, pleasant to listen to, and somehow drums up interesting people from all areas of science, does his homework, and asks brilliant questions. He almost always gets things in terms I can understand, usually the first time through. I do which he'd get more guests on climate change, as much as he seems to be aware of its urgency, but I also suggest that listening to him and the dialogue is a wonderful way to calm down before trying to sleep.

In my run for U.S. Senate against Utah's Orrin Hatch, I posted many progressive ideas and principles that I internalized over the years. I'm leaving that site up indefinitely, since it describes what I believe most members of our species truly (more...)

I'm on the other side of what sounds like Singularity (i.e.Ray Kurzweill). Humans are so far from living in an actualized way. I recommend regeneration as a means of actualization. This trip the chemist is pursuing transcends a reconnection with the living planet. As Charles de Gaul said about going to the moon:"We may go to the moon, but that's not very far. The greatest distance we have to cover still lies within us."

No argument, Art. I just found it interesting, but I agree with you, 100%.. Nature knows best, as Barry Commomer noted long ago.

That's true, but may also be true that that's what we are, at least chemically! One thing I did like was the realization that working in this manner there is about zero likelihood of things going wonkers.
