Trees waving in the wind
Wildcats in the city
Lost my taste for violence
What is your sign?

The Zohal Star
The pakchu stone
All the words they snag
Wouldn't last til dawn

Twelve wrong turns
By ill chance
Lifetimes
Of writing backwards

Over and over and over
Brain-fogged windows
Crawling poem to poem
Through fractal spaces

Only to find they
Sold the old place for a song
Glad he was homeschooled
Twenty years later

Chirping with endangered birds
Rained on by pine needles
Of sick white pines
Dealing with Lyme

In quarantine
Cracking teeth on cherry stones
Praying around a pile of stones
Hand-woven blanket

Chewing marsh grasses
Sub-ludic not bitter
Sitting on ley lines
Squinting through 3.0 glasses

Every point was
Eventually touched on
Far-seeing eyes
Playing catch-up

Racing toward home
For no reason
So they went in
The beast prowling

Butter, milk and meat
They do their best without
Didn't even have a car
Fat grubs munching

Can't sleep
Tossing salad from the garden
It rained dam broke
Wake up gasping

Watching for the cabin
In the first town
Just recovering
From a flashflood

At length we came to
Which has lasted
Cherishing the friendship
Is life possible here?
