Two weeks ago we (myself and my roommate) received a letter from the "property management". This letter stated that our apartment was "chosen at random by compute r" and that in 3 days during normal business hours a representative of the "property group' along with a 'staff member' would conduct a "routine inspection"in order to "take a quick look at operational items, check for leaks and check the overall condition of the apartment". the letter stressed that "no need to [sic] clean up and (WTH) we dont even need to be there""thank you for your cooperation".
So, after cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming and such (which in reality was already clean) we broke out the checkerboard and waited and waited. They never showed.
Oh well, kinda needed a 'good' cleaning anyway so no big deal. Since the letter stated that we weren't the only apartment to be inspected I figured they probably seen enough and wasn't needed. After all how much variance can there be in apartments in a large complex?
Soooo..
Monday, we get another letter stating that "due to '(author witheld)' we were unable to inspect your apartment, were sorry and we will come and "inspect your apartment in 'x' (author witheld) days. We will be "checking for leaks" and "the overall condition of the apartment. The 'inspection will take less than 5 minutes, you dont need to be there. Thank you for your cooperation"
PUNCHLINE ("BAMM") Tuesday August 6, 2013 someone on my twitter feed tweets THIS 'intellihub' article:

Blowup letter:
Note the last part "Please be aware that your apartment 'COULD' be chosen for inspection.
I'm not (quite) in Texas so my letter is worded a bit milder But still in my state (by law) it is the same.
ummm, really?
Oh, how obvious? The text in the featured letter is fundamentally similar to the letter that I got.(below) (If you can't see it right away then I suggest go back to watching 'big brother'.After all, he's watchin you..haha. You'll be fine.)
I'm not as good as the NSA at redacting docs so sorry that it's a bit sloppy and BTW let me make one thing clear right here. I don't have any 'cannabis'(lol) or anything illegal WHATSOEVER, I haven't DONE anything and basically (in general) I don't DO anything.
Now, right now we could talk about 'owners rights' vs 'renters rights'. But since most of us rent and I have a 'feeling' that even if you own , they'll eventually find a way so to even 'go there' is basically moot.
MOREOVER, point being 'The Fourth Amendment of the Constitution of The United States';
ANYWAY~~~~~~~~~~
I'm writing this at EXACTLY 4:59 PM on the designated day. No one has come.
And what a waste. Instead of playing my usual relaxing video games, watching anime or on twitter exercising my constitutional first amendment right to FREE speech by expressing my personal 'opinions' I spent the day finding and uploading details on the 'property owner' on 'RipoffReport.com (since at this point it's basically 'harassment'), finding an attorney and setting up surveillance,.. on myself.
Some may find this next part 'a little weird', but I don't. As I was 'redacting' the original letter in order to protect innocent parties, I mean, if there are any (which is unlikely) a certain 'feeling' came over me that I can't explain. It felt like 'something' was helping me in some way and I realized, who better to have received this 'letter' (or whatever you wanna call it). Because I'm the kind of person who will make a fuss and 'put it right out there'.
Also, i think It's worth mentioning maybe (besides being a total 'crock') it's just 'a test'. Like... 'what would I do'. LOL, what would you think?
Either way, I DONT NEED IT.
To use a quote from 'V for Vendetta' " There are no coincidences, Delia. Only the illusion of coincidence"
BTW, I DO I expect another "letter" Monday.
Maybe this time I'll get lucky and they'll show up and i'll have a video ;) Ill keep you updated.
