Detaining my partner: a failed attempt at intimidation http://www. theguardian.com/commentisfree/ 2013/aug/18/david-miranda-detained-uk-nsa "
This action by the UK is thoroghly despicable and surely either at the behest of the US Obama government or a fawning attempt to curry favor. It serves as a warning to all journalists that if you investigate or write about government spying or abuses of Democracy, you put yourself and your family at risk.
Here are some comments from twitter on this shameful action by the UK.
Only about 1 pax per 5.6 million is examined at LHR for 6+ hours, so hard to think what happened to @ ggreenwald's partner is a coincidence
UK officials making Greenwald security-overreach point very powerfully for him. This the kind of suaveness I expected in PRC. Now UK/US?
When laws passed to defend vs terrorism are used 2 detain people connected to people connected to people who embarrass govts = line been x'd
I understand UK govt dislikes @ GGreenwald, but how does his work w/ Snowden constitute "terrorism" to detain partner? http:// trib.al/klAtepx
Intimidating journalists by detaining their family is what China and Russia do. And now UK. All perfectly legal. http://www. theguardian.com/commentisfree/ 2013/aug/18/david-miranda-detained-uk-nsa "
Needless to say, @ ggreenwald is outraged his partner's treatment by UK govt. EVERYONE should be outraged http://www. theguardian.com/commentisfree/ 2013/aug/18/david-miranda-detained-uk-nsa "

Tying in with Time's reporter Mike Grunwald's despicable comment hoping for Greenwald's death, David Sirota tweeted.
Wonder if @ MikeGrunwald will followup by insisting UK shouldve assassinated instead of detained @ GGreenwald's partner http://www. mediaite.com/online/time-jo urnalist-tweets-support-for-assassination-of/ "
