It is late Friday night as I write, Friday being the day dedicated to Frige or Frigg, the Norse/Germanic love Goddess, Venus in Latin countries, a day to chill out, an evening to go out, go out and enjoy, socialize, eat, drink and make romance. It is also a day to get away from all the angst of politics, at least to put it on the back-burner some. So with that in mind, let me offer a little light-heartedness to OpEdNews to take our minds off all the world's problems that we bear on our shoulders.
Back in this Spring of 2010 I was in the San Francisco Bay Area for some ten
days, and I managed to wind up in North Beach in the City, with camera in hand on a late Friday afternoon dropping into evening, so I just
started walking and taking shots, for several hours.
So come on with me on a tour of North Beach, as I wander about Little Italy, Columbus Avenue, Washington Square and
on up to Broadway Street.
This is not all of them - space doesn't permit - however the other day I figured out how to offer even more of this evening's output to the public: through video. So I took 92 of my shots and set them to music on a video, which you will find at the end of the following photographs.
Enjoy:And here's the music video. Click on the screen to go right to YouTube for a larger screen:
