With all the election news, few have noticed there have been four deadly shootings at beauty salons/spas in one year. In Florida, California, South Dakota and Wisconsin enraged husbands/boyfriend have stalked their wives/girlfriends to salons, innocent customers be damned. In last week's Wisconsin shooting, Radcliffe Haughton, the gunman, had a history of violence against his wife and had just been issued a restraining order.
But though a judge ordered him to turn in all firearms to a county sheriff (right), according to the Wisconsin State Journal, he bought a gun from a private individual the day before the shootings. There is no waiting period or background check in Wisconsin for handgun purchases from private individuals, a loophole the gun lobby fiercely defends. Thank you NRA and NR lackey politicians for allowing innocent women to be mowed down in the service of "gun rights."
