Wow. Was this a clusterf*ck?

I don't think so.

As I write this, CNN asks, "where's Tom Perez, the head of the DNC." And yes he is missing in action.

That question is perfect timing, because I don't believe this was a clusterf*ck. This was intentional. Now, there are so many reason this was good for certain parties it's hard to tell which reasons dominated. Here are some.

1- Delay the clear report of the expected Bernie Sanders victory. That will weaken Sanders' momentum going into New Hampshire.

2- Protect Joe Biden from being shown as the loser he is. And he is trying to block the release of the results even longer, which will further protect him from the powerful loser narrative that will follow him coming in, at best, in third, possibly even fourth or fifth place.

3-Sabotage the future of Iowa as the first in the nation Primary state. I'm not sure this was the plan. But the Iowa Democratic party leadership went with Shadow, the company backed by Acronym, the company in bed with the Democratic party, that built the failed(?) app that was supposed to handle the reporting of election results. No doubt, this debacle should make it certain that this massively white, conservative state should not be the first state to influence the elections. The DNC can simply declare that candidates who campaign in Iowa will not be allowed to participate in debates.

4- Acronym//Shadow apparently is scheduled to play a role in the Nevada primary. That should not happen. The stench of Acronym and Shadow should not be allowed to reach any further aspects of the 2020 primary.

5- I certainly had concerns that the results of the reporting could not be trusted, with former Clinton campaign people playing a role in the reporting app.

6- I don't trust the DNC. I don't trust state Democratic party leaders. They are arrogant party hacks who have no respect for Democracy. We should assume that they will do all they can get away with to rig the election.

7- If the Iowa caucus can be salvaged, it will be because of the use of paper records. No. I repeat NO elections should be allowed that do not include paper back-up. Imagine if this disaster had been using E-voting.

The CNN stats douche blames this on Bernie Sanders because he asked for more data to be collected

What do you think?

I agree with you Rob. This was deliberate.

Nevada has said they will not use the Shadow app in their primary, nor that vender.

I also now believe the withdrawal of the Des Moines Register poll was done because Bernie Sanders was comfortably in the lead. Pete Buttigieg was the instigator of that action, and is also a client of Shadow. He is starting to look more like a provocateur than a candidate.

The exit polls showed Bernie on top, followed by Pete. I don't think he's the type to mess with things, but NBC reported Warren came third and Biden last, and since like Hillary he's the DNC favorite, God knows why, something is afoot for sure. Biden's run will end they say, if he's last. I like Pete and the interview published with him suggested he was as lost as anyone; but the pressure is on to figure it out, and they're headed for New Hampshire.

When I woke to the fact that Iowa was weird, my first thought was that Pete or Bernie came out ahead and the DNC didn't like it. It stinks is what I think; just like in '16; but this time it's really freaking me out. How much crazier can this get?

Nyet. Mayor Cheat as Buttigieg is now being called is the least concern for the dark lords of the DNC. He is one of them. Obviously the DNC is worried about Bernie. I mean can I make any greater bombshell understatement regarding DNC worries? Seriously? Are we insane?

As far as Buttigieg not being the type to mess with things - He is exactly the opposite of that:

Federal campaign finance records show that the Iowa Democratic Party and the Nevada Democratic Party retained Shadow to develop its caucus app. Shadow has also been retained for digital services by Buttigieg's campaign, which paid the company $42,500 for software-related services last July, and by Joe Biden's campaign, which paid Shadow $1,225 for text messaging services, last July as well.

Shadow was launched by former staffers to Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign, including Niemira, Krista Davis, Ahna Rao, and James Hickey, according to professional biographies listed on LinkedIn. Shadow did not respond to a request for comment.

Using a new, untested App...perfect for stealing an election.

The DNC knew Bernie was going to win big and couldn't let that happen. The Republicrats are pure filth.

And we were worrying about trump cheating.

They would rather have Trump again than Sanders. The 'rats' should abandon the corrupt sinking DNC ship for a third party. This calls for a revolution.

And so I cry sometimes
When I'm lying in bed
Just to get it all out
What's in my head
And I, I am feeling a little peculiar

And so I wake in the morning
And I step outside
And I take a deep breath and I get real high
And I scream from the top of my lungs,
"What's going on?!"

And I try, oh, my God, do I try
I try all the time
In this institution
And I pray, oh, my God, do I pray
I pray every single day
For revolution

My relatives still see a Russian conspiracy as much behind this debacle as behind Trump's election (which they still keep telling me was Putin's choice). I tell them I see a DNC conspiracy, but that's not what they see.

I just learned that the Butt guy is gay. I did not know that and in no way meant to refer to his sexual preference in mutilating his name. I could not be bothered to look up the spelling as I have never found him the least bit interesting as a candidate and just improvised.

Folks are looking at him in Japan, and they are fine with transsexual and gay folks in public life, but they are saying "No way is this guy a serious contender." And they have no idea how suggestive his name is.

to me it shows one thing. The DNC is as corrupt as the republican party and they are determined to get a centerist stooge to keep Bernie from winning the Democratic primaries.Lets not forget the corrupt DNC has threatened to blackball any advisors or companies working for bernie or any progressive.the company who created the app is run by a former Clinton top advisor. We may well be seeing the final death of Democracy in this country

The Donald has everyone getting into the sanctions regime - Gangsta Hubris... an almost wanton exercise of power for power's sake...well, what will they do when the shoe drops on the other foot?? I ask myself this question a lot, me usually responds first, "they gonna do the same old sh*t they been doing for the past 500 years."

I posted this on Jerry's article on Tuesday, Feb 4, 2020 at 5:39:35 AM:

Watching the comment feed on Bernie's live feed during and after his comments after the caucus...many people posting that their precinct's delegates went for Sanders...NYT listed results, showing Sanders as winning, see screenshot below ...but now the page says: "Iowa Democratic officials say a delay in results is largely because of a "quality control" effort. Initial results reported by the Associated Press have been removed from this page while we wait for party officials to release results."

Here's what it looked like when I first saw it:

(Image by Unknown Owner) Details DMCA

and here's what it looks like now:

Eventually, all the info will be in and reported...so why would someone want a delay? Would it be so they could deny Sanders his victory speech?

No surprise that the DNC is corrupt and rigging the election. This is exactly why DNC staffer and Bernie supporter Seth Rich leaked the DNC server data to Wikileaks back in 2016 - just as Julian Assange has strongly suggested. And why the DNC (John Podesta/Debbie Wasserman Shultz) had Seth Rich killed. Russia never hacked the DNC server. The Trump campaign never colluded with Russia - it was always a DEM/deep state setup. This will all come still come out.
