Immigration Deportation

In today's New York Times, article 'New Trump Deportation Rules Allow Far More Expulsions' by Ron Nixon and Michael D. Shear ends with a misnomer that shows a complete lack of research.

... generated fear and anger in the immigration community, .... A comment greatly contradicted by Latinos living and working in these United States who have been saying since the Reagan administration that 'illegal immigrants should be lined up against a wall and shot.'

There are millions of documented immigrants who have gone through the legal process and hold jobs that support their families; they raise children who assume jobs that help others, both new immigrants and native born Americans.

Another example of poor journalism.

I'm surprised the New York Times has little control over their shoddy journalists. A once-prized organ that has let their emotions run the news.

The story here is not about immigration, but about bad reportage.
