As many readers may know, at least those who've seen my previous posts on climatologist Paul Beckwith, Paul is one amazing individual. Check his bio on paulbeckwith.net if you haven't already, along with the many items he links to, particularly the one titled "Solutions." Long shots though they are, we should certainly understand where we stand, both literally and figuratively.
I particularly liked this video due to the way Paul rephrases the question regarding "what we should do" in re climate change, along with the suggestions he gives herein. My one disagreement is relying on governments to do anything; my alternative suggestion is to lean on the "high rollers," at least those who seem to have a conscience and understand the gravity of the situation, and try hard to twist the arm of folks like, say, Jeff Bezos, to do something possibly useful with his untold billions. These folks are members of our species after all, though they may need some reminders now and then of that seemingly obvious fact.
I would promptly nominate Paul to coordinate the effort he talks about here, and select the best candidates to actually "do something," or at least give "something" a most serious try. My other "thing to do" I just posted in a video and through the mouth of Dr. Peter Carter, who speaks clearly on the massive government subsidies, aka welfare, we give to fossil fuel companies.
In any event, this 15-minute video from Paul may well be the most important one you'll ever see. But give it a look and decide for yourself.
