Genocide continuing - World awakening

By Dr. Mazin Qumsiyeh  Posted by Peter Barus (about the submitter)   1 comment, In Series: Reports from Palestine

The Genocide is constinuing and now spreading to the West Bank. Israeli forces killed 12 Palestinians in Jenin including several students and a doctor. Children in Gaza ae still being murdered by the apartheid genocidal regime supported by the US and other western (also colonial) governments. Meanwhile the global awakening is happening at an accelerated pace. I feel that as I talk to people of various backgrounds in packed attendance halls now in Aotearoa (aka New Zealand). We must keep working

I'm an old Pogo fan. For some unknown reason I persist in outrage at Feudalism, as if human beings can do much better than this. Our old ways of life are obsolete and are killing us. Will the human race wake up in time? Stay (more...)

As Mazin and Jesse continue speaking and listening peace, the genocide backed by Washington seems implacable and insatiable, for the blood of the innocent and defenseless. And its effects are already felt across college campuses, where brutal repression is now every administration's first resort.

This echoes January 6th, in that law enforcement was brought to bear as a last resort, to quell a "riot" in which the mob had invaded the Capitol, chanting for the blood of senior political leaders and beating down cops.

A Republican administration dragged feet in the first, when real violence was widespread, and the Democrats called in the SWAT teams in the second, when the police at Columbia described the protests as "peaceful."

A great many norms have been turned upside down.
