East coast factory farmers knew from 1999 Hurricane Floyd that animals would die from Florence flooding. They also knew they would be reimbursed for their "losses" through USDA-taxpayer programs as well as through insurance. In the days ahead I will name the factory farmers who willfully let innocent, helpless pigs, turkeys and millions of chickens drown and the food companies they supply.
