Caught my drift? I am only warming up. On the way back, right in the middle of the UK ‘liquid terror’ threat we were told about new regulations. Among them one was that from that moment we couldn’t buy the bottled water at the terminal. Ok, the ship came on-time, and then we disembarked. We had a transfer to the airport. The Vancouver port is great but why was it that all three ships had to spill out the passengers at the same time and at the same customs place. Off we go again:
- find our luggage
- pick it up
- roll it in the biggie line to the Canadian customs
- go through it
- dump ourselves into the enormous crowd of people. Trying to find a Cruise representative
- see the light in some very narrow passage
- go there and see the Cruise representative.
- follow her directions
- find a transfer bus
- wait for other unfortunate passengers.
- drink water hastily.
- ride for about 45 minutes to the airport.
- dismount at the DOMESTIC flights terminal
- stay in line to the registration kiosk
- get the passes
