What About Repaying the Loan?

Recall that you borrowed $87,402.81 to pay the Total Cost of your Christmas. Is it now time for payback?

Of course not. Only fools repay loans; Conservatives just borrow more money and leave payback to somebody else. The loan proceeds were $87,403 and you spent just $46,049. So by all that's good and holy, the $41,354 you saved belongs to you. If you write off your costs as business expenses, another $12,000 in tax savings will be yours too.

Thus, for the holidays your friends lose $87,403. That's okay; they never expected to be repaid; they know you too well. They can deduct their losses from their taxes.

Meanwhile, you had an excellent holiday. You gave your True Love thousands of dollars worth of gifts, extorted your friends and stiffed your lenders, fooled the singing public, cheated your workers, broke the law, compromised your principles, acted hypocritically throughout, and put nearly $54,000 in your own pocket -- all in the name of preserving "the American way of life."

And , hey ... $54,000 ... now, that's a piece of change Conservatives can really believe in.

Happy Holidays!
