The Koch brothers are an extreme right wing group who want to end social security, end medicaid, and give huge tax breaks to the wealthiest people in this country. I believe they are a very dangerous force in American society.

The Palestinians are entitled to a state of their own with full economic and political power. That's the broad view that I hold and I will do everything that I can to make that happen.
Student asks about what he will do to correct unequal pay for women.
He replies: "We need legislation that says equal pay for equal for all Americans."
Talks about social security-- says end the cap on social security, which now is $118,000, so you have a millionaire paying in same amount as someone making $118,000. That will allow expansion of benefits and extend life until 2061.
Student asks how he will put in place $15 minimum wage.
"No president" can implement the changes we need in this country without a political revolution.
What does that mean? If we leave the status quo alone and I'm sitting there or President Obama is sitting there negotiating with Boehner or Mitch McConnell or the Republican leadership, we will not succeed, but if you tell Mitch McConnell to look out the window because there are three million people to act boldly on climate change, we will get action.
I am talking about the need to transform the political system. The assumption right now, on the part of the political system is that most people don't vote, most people don't know what's going on and most people have given up on the political process. And if you are a Republican, that's great. They love it because the smaller the voter turnout the better they do.
But if you are a progressive we look at it very differently and we understand that when millions of people come together to fight to rebuild the American middle class, to deal with climate change and deal with women's rights, we will win because we are going to make them an offer they can't refuse, and that is to either do the right thing or in a short period of time they are going to be looking for another job."
A student asks how he will maintain his ethos of taking care of ALL his constituents for the nation and not just Vermont.
"You raise an issue, one that Pope Francis brings up, and that is, how do we care for each other? How, with the government and all of our people, do we make certain that young people are not dropping out of school? Government can't do it alone. Government can provide the funds but you need to be helping out, making sure that kids in a low-income high school are not dropping out of school. How do we make sure and government has to pay an important role that senior citizens are not going hungry.
