Socrates' five questions to resolve arguments.
They help you guide the conversation. Inquire rather than challenge:
1. How do you personally know that's true? (What must be true for that to be true?)
2. What assumptions are you making, take for granted? (Assumptions feel like facts until questioned.)
3. What evidence could change your mind? (Events, influences?)
4. Have you looked for that evidence? (What would your strongest critic say?)
5. What are the logical implications of your position? (Apply it universally. Where would it lead?)
