We are watching the procession
of the bloody lance
and the candelabra and the Grail go by.
What is the Grail?
For one thing,
It is a powerful archetype.
Jung thought of it as an aspect
of the feminine or receptive principle.
The lance is, of course,
the eternal (Dylan's) prophesied recurring cycle
of the transposition of the powerful
and the disempowered.
And the candelabra
is the light of consciousness or awareness (lucidity).
That's the order:
the lance, followed by illumination
