According to various definitions for lies, Aiken staff lied to me and lied to the people of Aiken.
The Aiken City Council: A Puppet Government?
The City Manager spoke for the Aiken City Council as they remain silent to accusations of a lack of public trust for safe drinking water and the ongoing destruction of our drinking water system. An unrevised copy of this Op Ed was forwarded to the Mayor and City manager prior to the December 8th City Council meeting. As preemptive strike to my speech, Mr. Bedenbaugh repeated that Aiken drinking water is safe and that those who disagree are wrong. He lied. He failed to mention that Aiken "Water Quality Reports" acknowledge Cryptosporidium and lead poisoning in our drinking water.
Once again he lied that sediments in pipes naturally occur. Water hammers cause rust.
He further lied about previous Work Sessions. His lies against my character stopped the prevention of Aiken water main breaks that keep on going. The proof of his lies were provided to him in an Op Ed, titled "Aiken Coverups and New Scientific Advances in Water Main Breaks".
The Mayor of Aiken refused to directly answer whether or not a Work Session would be permitted. After a contentious questioning of her and her deferral of my question to the Aiken Assistant City Manager, I concluded that "The answer is that public safety is not a concern and you will not have a Work Session". The Mayor only responded "Thank you for your comments".

Power, Lying and Corruption in Aiken
Is Aiken corruption the foundation for lies by Aiken officials? A look at power and lying sets the tone for this important question ("How Power Corrupts: Power Buffers the Emotional, Cognitive, and Physiological Stress of Lying", Click Here).

For 'CEOs, money managers, and politicians the relation between power and corruption looms large. Across America and abroad, power-brokers' 'have become synonymous with corruption, fraud, and deception. Indeed, social science has shown an empirical link between individuals power and corrupt acts.'
'Because the powerful hold the keys to our livelihood, the veracity of their statements and acts is of utmost importance, in fact, the very fate of our survival may depend upon being under the power of truthful individuals. Fate, it seems, is not without a sense of irony as research shows that the powerful may be more likely to be corrupt.'
