We in the core are especially at risk of succumbing to this petty-bourgeois mentality, because in our country, it's incentivized by the desire to continue exploiting the peripheral peoples. But we can rise above it. The Black Panthers, the most successful communist party in U.S. history, showed that Americans can be brought towards revolution. They even provided an example of how we can give the lumpen an immediate alternative to gangsterism, building material-aid networks that fed the victims of capitalism and colonialism. We can complete their legacy by defeating the U.S. empire.
