The one thing TPTB (the powers that be) still fear is waking up the sleeping giant, the American People.
Why do you think there is such an effort to undermine our vote, destroy confidence in as well as reliability of our election system? Read the numerous reports proving just how insecure, unreliable and unobservable-unprovable OUR vote is to original source entry.
Yes, we are at war and the frontline is at the ballot box! Now let’s make sure we defend that ballot box with real ballots we fill out ourselves. Neither the Holt (H.R. 811) nor the Feinstein (S1487) bills are answers, they worsen the situation! We must ban DRE Machines by November 2008. It is do-able if you demand it and keep demanding till heard and heeded! Join and support a local Voting Integrity group, there are many fine hard working associations across the country that desperately need your help.
Listen to “Voice of the Voters”; archives at www.voiceofthevoters.org. Join our Coalition for Voting Integrity or start a chapter in your locale. Volunteer to help us or other like groups. Writers, web help, administrative aid, transcribers, speakers etc needed. Please, please contribute much-needed funds. Most Election Integrity groups work on contributions. We’re fighting well-heeled lobbyists and vendors. We need funding right now. Contribute to a group today!
Our Vote is our first right from which all others derive…if you care about Iraq, economy, jobs then you must first care to ensure the integrity of our vote and getting citizens informed and involved.
Lincoln said, "Elections belong to the people. It is their decision."
It's time to make it OUR decision.... or we will get far worse than the rest of Lincoln's quote: "If they decide to turn their back on the fire and burn their behinds, then they will just have to sit on their blisters."
3-Take One Action a Week - Every week: Call, write, fax your representative (Congress & Senate) as well as write to newspapers and friends… choose a subject a week but please always start with Ban DREs before 2008 elections!
A-VOTING & REPRESENTATION:
Get OUR Voting System Secured and Proven to Original Source Ballots we the people have completed by November 2008 … It can & must be done! Step 1 – Ban DRE’s
-BAN DREs (Direct Record Electronic Voting Machines) by Nov 2008! Give states funding to replace with hand marked paper ballots using op scan or hand count and increase hand count as added check for 2008. Return the vote to the people. Let us “see” the proof of results to all original source votes.
-Since the vote belongs to the people, make them part of the process at every level. Open the doors and windows so all can see what is happening. Only the ballot is secret, all else must be observable
-Clear decks of other voting bills especially H.R 811 & S 1487. Focus on stripped down bill that most helps 2008 election then move to other improvements in a series of bills to meet above objectives.
- Lobbyists and “others” say Congress won’t ban DRE’s. Well Congress works for you…or should. Also, don’t accept it can’t be done in time…it can!
-No law or government should force us to vote on unsecure, unreliable and unverifiable to original source vote so stop the use NOW! No excuses!!!!
-Disallow vendors from financing and sponsoring government associations and meetings.
FOCUS: Tell Congress: NO DREs – with or without printers! Tell same to State and local officials, Demand replacement for 2008 election and ensure extra security of process and count to prove reported results match original source voter completed paper ballots…the real votes.
B-FINANCIAL
-Demand we stop the “printing press” dollars; tell people the facts about liquidity and debt, and start-reducing debt now. Consider putting some type of backing to the dollar so it is more than “paper”.
-Investigate the Plunge Protection Team & the Federal Reserve and their ties to other institutions as well as development of financial policies
-Stop quasi government study plan of unity of USA/Mexico/Canada
-Help develop small businesses here at home. We need to grow good paying jobs and opportunities.
C- POLITICAL/GOVERNMENT
-Get Bush Administration under control or get them out of office …get rid of recent “directives” on PRESIDENTIAL “control”
-Start holding more town meetings; listen to citizens not lobbyists
-Find a way to get lobbying money/interests out of Congress and politics
-Get plan to get moneyed interests out of Iraq (audit them too) as well as our soldiers…work for International Administration
D-GOVERNMENT SERVING INTERESTS OF CITIZENS AS JOB #1
-Articulate key issues and how going to address
-Open Discussion among citizens and with “representatives” at all levels, especially town meetings plus telecast local, state, national discussion of vital issues. Hear the voices of the people!
-Create a Commitment to the American People and Building a Stronger America … A Vision, Strategy and Plan concerning fulfilling the true founding principles … rebuilding American vitality, jobs, health care affordance, opportunity and having government belong to and serve the people.
You can add to this list. The important thing is to take action even one small step can make the difference.
First take responsibility. Learn your facts. Recognize it is up to We the People to lead, to take back our rights. It can be done, we can learn to do it…we must do it! We definitely are in a race against time…what is your choice?
An executive I admired always spoke of the importance of commitment in achieving anything. I asked him his definition, his reply: ”If you say it, Do it””
