Likewise, the real scandal behind the attack on Clinton's role in the Benghazi incident was that the CIA was running guns from Libya, through Benghazi, to the terrorists in Syria, using al Qaeda to fight a proxy war to take out Assad.

A former CIA operative who wrote the CCB report has stated that the then-bipartisan group known as the "Gang of Eight," at a minimum, knew of the operation to aid and abet America's jihadist enemies by providing them with material support. So says Clare Lopez, a former CIA officer and the primary author of CCB's interim report, in an interview with Brietbart News.
Of the 4 men killed in the attack on the US diplomatic post in Benghazi were two CIA operatives who were killed at the nearby CIA bunker, where they were shot while manning machine guns on the roof. The CIA forces had come to intervene in the attack but backed off and returned to their headquarters, out of which the gun smuggling operation was run, with the nearby diplomatic facility as cover.
