[1] Bernie Goldstein is Emeritus Professor and
former Dean of the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public health. An environmental toxicologist, his research
interests have largely focused on the concept of biological markers in the
realm of risk assessment. His
publications involve blood toxicity, formation of cancer-causing substances
after exposure to inhalants, aspects of public-health decision-making, and
global issues in environmental medicine.
He has also studied and written about the 2010 Gulf oil spill.
