Picking leaders with real world experiences matters -- for their insights may keep sons and daughters out of maiming wars. If the electorate is wise enough to pick leaders who have the vision to build different armies that can improve the world, those armies can help lift fellow Americans and world citizens mired in communities of poverty to revitalize their families and communities and build civil societies. Such actions eliminate more unhinged crazies and potential crazed terrorists than crates of blazing bullets piercing flesh, drones raining death, and bloodied boots on the ground do.
This leads me to beg you raise this question at your next gathering where meaningless game scores are often the talking faire:
"Why don't you push your congressional rep to fire up JFK's Camelotian ideals redux?
Ask them about People's Lobby's American World Service Corps National Service (AWSCNS) Congressional Proposal , which is rumbling around in the halls of Congress, looking for a JC or JFK to bring a gang together to make robust, peaceful national service a confessional free habit.
