Before the end of August, there will be 25 statewide elections. Legislatures are about to meet and debate the issues.
We must avoid recounts, which are so controversial and corruptible.
Said Harvey, these days in Ohio, the state legislature overrules the Secretary of State.
Susan said that she and John Brakey, head of Audit Elections USA, are involved with ballot imagingmost states use scanners that feature this; the machines count the images, not the ballots. All over, these images are erased the minute votes are cast. They must be allowed to remain, to verify votes and conduct audits. In Dane County, Wisconsin, home of the state university and the capital, the ballot images are posted online, allowing a do-it-yourself audit for any and all citizens. There is a control within the voting machine to delete or keep the ballot images. They must be kept.
Georgia spent $1.1 million on their new Dominion touchscreens that cost volumes more than digital scanners and hold up lines since only a few can vote at a time, when the machines are working. The barcodes generated onto the ballots are infinitely corruptible.
Said Harvey, we must all go to our election boards and insist that the digital ballots be saved. It's against federal law to delete them, said Susan.
Finally, said Harvey, donate at Freepress.org and specify that it's to be directed toward Election Protection. With donations, they will generate PR materials, publish a voters' handbook, and hire state-level organizers.
Most important, join our efforts. Consider the consequences otherwise. God Help Us.
