Their focus is on the "divided," "stubborn" and "violent" Haitians and how a power vacuum has been avoided due to a "negotiated" accord, the AP carefully reported the OAS was "observing negotiations to resolve a standoff." Yet, no stakeholder of consequence met with the OAS in Haiti because of Haiti unity and integrity. Only the stooges and the mostly pro-government forces whose authority the people rejected.
The media makes up the picture frame and fills it in as the colonial powers, their local stooges and the OAS dictated. Sprinkling in, here and there that the "opposition was outside protesting." But if you know what's up and the reality of their one-sided accord, you can catch them red handed, like with this revealing AP sentence:
"Some opposition figures have repeatedly said Martelly could not be part of the process, but Sanders (Chief of the OAS Mission), who stressed he was a witness and not a participant in the talks, said the deal was reached by elected officials who have the authority to do so."
Emphasis added to show you their arrogance. The people say no, the Martelly regime are not duly elected officials. That's the whole five year crisis, no? And some no longer even have last January's tenuous political consensus. Are these disgraceful Internationals also retarded, on drugs, obtuse or what? (See, photo album at Haiti Case Against Bill & Hillary Clinton/Unelected Michel Martelly and No More Electoral Coups: OAS is Not Welcome in Haiti.)
If the pro-democratic groups say the Martelly-Paul regime can't be part of the solution. That's not the full story. We also say the OAS is part of the problem and cannot be part of the solution. The OAS and Hillary Clinton, cooked the votes in 2010 to put Michel Martelly in office. Did The Associated Press this forget salient point when it proudly announced its "exclusive interview with special OAS mission leader Ronald Sanders" about the one-sided Haiti "Deal Reached on Provisional Haiti Government?"
Haiti deserves an end to the US occupation behind the UN military front, fake elections and fake NGO aid. Haiti deserves to be heard on how it wishes to conduct fair, inclusive and democratic elections for the Presidency and the Parliament. It's time to end the colonially-supported government repression.
