Corporatism is Systematically Sucking the Lifeblood Out of America

Corporatism cannot be allowed to run rampant in America. Those leading this movement are extracting the wealth out of America and this society -- they are sucking the lifeblood out of this nation. They take and give nothing back. Profits and control are all that matter to them; they consider the principles of morality and ethics; integrity, fairness, honesty, justice and social responsibility to be meaningless; things that just get in the way.

Right now America is on the road to become a full-fledged Corporate State if we don't turn things around. Fortunately, small businesses are still an important part of America even though a decreasing number of them are involved in manufacturing. About 53 million U.S. workers are employed in companies with less than 500 employees, with 47 million in the employ of large corporations of 500 or more workers. In times past small businesses, not giant corporations, were predominant in America; and when they thrived, America and its people thrived.

Yes, things can change. I would venture to say that as some of the worst offending corporations get more and more greedy, close more plants and outsource more jobs, more and more Americans will vent their anger by refusing to do business with them and will turn to small businesses who manufacture products using American workers. When you have a situation that continues to worsen with no relief of any kind in sight, and when people become desperate enough, then that's when it can be turned around.

This need not be about trying to force corporations out of business; no, it's about bringing them under control and making them play by the rules instead of manipulating the system. They need to be totally banned from any involvement in the election process; the Congress and the Supreme Court, collectively, have the power to do so; that is, if they would start working for the American people rather than Corporate America. Likewise, Congress has the power to solve the outsourcing problem by enacting legislation that would mandate that, "If you want to do business in America you will employ a certain percentage of American workers."

Without question the people of America possess the power to make this happen if they are made fully aware of the great dangers involved and if they are then motivated to do something about it. This is not something that might happen or should happen, it's something that must happen or we will all end up living in a controlled Corporatist State.
