7. What once was the final recourse, to correct and even prevent wrong doing, the American court system, is being transformed before our very eyes and ears, as Shakespeare's King Lear put it: "so that Heaven's vault should crack."

8. I could but won't go on and on, except to note the obvious, that this Texas US Senate Election is very important, as a conflict between good and evil, and at this point, much of the nation's attention (and indeed that of much of the Free World) is watching this election with rapt and fierce attention. A lot is at stake and a lot of the future of the United States depends on Beto winning this election.

With the outcomes in Missouri and North Dakota, we may see no sign whatsoever of any impending blue wave. We may see more of that blue wave in Arizona and Tennessee. Thus, Texas is crucial, where Beto has almost but not quite yet achieved the egalitarian political impossibility, despite all the braying and castigations of ignorant people calling us "socialists."

The President will host a big rally for Ted Cruz very soon. From the Houston Chronicle:

President Donald Trump will make good on his promise to help Texas Republican Ted Cruz, announcing plans to hold a large rally next Monday night in Houston.

The Trump campaign on Monday said the next stop on the president's midterm campaign tour will be at the NRG Arena, which its website states can hold "less than 10,000" people near the larger NRG Stadium.

In August, Trump said he would do a "major rally" for Cruz in the "biggest stadium in Texas we can find." The NRG Arena is not the state's largest stadium. That honor goes to Kyle Field at the Texas A&M University campus with its seating capacity of 102,733. This is the sixth rally that President Trump has held in Texas and the second rally in the Houston area since he first began his race for president in June, 2015.

"We are pleased to announce the next stop on our national midterm campaign tour with a Make America Great Again rally on Monday, October 22nd in Houston, Texas, featuring President Donald Trump," said Michael Glassner, Chief Operating Officer for Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. "The President looks forward to celebrating the booming Trump economy that's delivering new jobs and bigger paychecks to the hardworking men and women across the Lone Star State."
