What is the main, underlying problem here? Well, we have three nations that have been threatening each other and rattling sabers over decades and none of them has the capacity to even attempt to engage in discussions over their differences. Which one is the most guilty? They all are guilty; when is the last time that we have heard any one of them suggesting a period of relaxing or easing of tensions through diplomacy, discussions and cooperative efforts toward establishing peace?
So, how is this latest confrontation going to end? If these three parties continue to exacerbate this situation it can easily lead to a Middle East explosion. Are these three parties who have made no attempt whatsoever to try to discuss a peaceful resolution of their differences willing to take the entire world to the brink of a third world war? When is logic and reason going to prevail over knee-jerk reactions?
Does this current alleged plot by Iran have any legitimacy; will there be any concrete evidence forthcoming to link it directly to the Iranian government? None has been presented thus far and that has left many journalists very suspicious about what may be afoot. So we'll just have to wait and see what materializes and whether the charges are valid or if this is just another false flag operation or another case of wag the dog.
