Ditto for the "global war on terror"; billions in unnecessary expenditures for a minor threat but contrived as a mortal threat to Americans and their way of life instead of dealing with terrorists and terrorism as criminal behavior that the FBI and local police are quite capable of handling using normal, legal criminal investigating procedures.

Only government induced fear and private corporate interests keep the terrorism pot boiling, keeping Americans fearful which goes to justify these unnecessary expenditures.

So name the issue or the problem plaguing this country and the old adage "follow the money" applies to why real problem solving and reform doesn't happen in America.

Lastly, throw in the recently revealed NSA surveillance programs monitoring all electronic communications of Americans, and it becomes clear our government sees us as the enemy and has no interest in finding solutions to our problems and issues. Solving the countries problems wouldn't benefit the big corporate interests making billions in profits from the corrupt system it has built, maintains and controls.

Let's remember our problems and issues fester without resolve considering the revolving door of ex-politicians working as lobbyists for big corporate interests while big corporate executives are selected as high government officials thus assuring the existing corrupt system remains in place and making it all but impossible for effective laws, regulations, oversight and enforcement be enacted and implemented.

It's hard to come to any other conclusion. With real reform prevented from being implemented by the powerful forces in control, our corrupt system remains in place.

Rebellion against that system appears inconceivable as most Americans seem passively indifferent to what is happening while indulging in private personal pursuits, isolated and detached from others with no interest to do anything about it.

Yet rebellion may be the only way left as our problems and issues remain unresolved with real reform all but prevented from happening.
