Heck, purchasing anything with cash seems almost anachronistic these days.
Always using plastic has to contribute to the excessive buying. Deferring the cost of something-again often for something one doesn't need- has contributed to excessive personal debt of those people unable to pay off the credit card purchases in full each month, then get saddled with 20% or more usury interest fees from the credit card company thieves that prey on such people.
Ah, but I guess this is not the time of the year to dwell on the negative just 2 days before Christmas. There's plenty of time for "that" to resume on the 26th.
For now though, from this secular old timer, have a joyous holiday.
